Some long awaited justice for my sister-in-law's mother

Just like out of the television series COLD CASE, a new law to test current inmates DNA against past "cold case" crimes, has found and convicted the killer of my sister-in-law's mother.

Here is a link to the San Jose Mercury News article about the case.

I'm happy your family can finally get some peace.

Please remember me if you learn of anyone moving to "The OC."

Isn't DNA testing a blessing? I just saw  DOCUMENTARY "After Innocence" about several convicted men who were actually innocent & DNA absolved them. I cannot imagine a scenario more chilling than being convicetd of a crime you did not convict!

Glad DNA testing solved this long awaited situation for your family.

Best Regards,

That has to be a huge burden lifted off your sister-in-law and your family. They are very fortunate that they have closure. I just saw a poster a couple of days ago for a woman who has been missing for over a year and a half and never found. Now you and your family can move beyond this.

That's got to be a little relief in a very frustrating place. Being passed this, hopefully the family can now properly grieve.

Just to update everyone here.

On Halloween the my sister-in-law's mother's murderer was finally sentenced on October 31st 2008.

Here is an article from her hometown newspaper the Tracy Press

I am glad this human garbage will never see the streets again.

My brother tells me that Emily's speech was very moving and it really effected everyone in the courtroom.

Thank you everyone for your support Emily, knows about everyone online here and at the forums at the paper's site.  She is very grateful

Michael,

Gosh, my hearts go out to you and your family.

It's so unreasonable to think that we get to clothe, feed and provide medical care for this guys' natural life while your sister in law has lost the right to know her mother..shameful.
